Colorado Events – Things to do June 5th through 11th

June already! Times flies – specially with summer finally here!

Why not check out the Citizen Project seventh annual Creating Community Breakfast on June 9th?  It’ll be at the Mr. Biggs Event Center on 5825 Mark Dabling Blvd. This is a free event; open to help through donations. Check out their site for further info.

Or, have fun at the Circus. Ringling Bros. “Fully Charged” Show will be in town, at the World Arena, from June 9th through the 12th. Classic circus performance, animals, clowns and acrobatics, happening at the World Arena on 3185 Venetucci Blvd.

Boats, Bands & Bar-B-Q will be at the Pueblo Riverwalk on June 10th and 11th. It’ll feature more than 50 competitors – so check it out and let me know what your favorite was!

House of Floyd, a tribute band, will be at the Stargazers Theatre and Event Center (10 S. Parkside Drive) on June 11th.

The Stratton Outdoor Amphitheater’s Grand Opening will also happen on June 11th, celebrating the 120th Anniversary of Stratton’s discovery of the Independence Mine in Victor. The Victor Lowell Thomas Museum is offering a day long event with mine-tours, panning for gold, whiskey tasting, auction, bar-b-q, and of course, a performance in the amphitheater. (Located on Teller County Road 81 & Diamond Ave, in Victor, CO.)

The Kids Fun Fest, sponsored by Rocky Mountain PBS celebrates the opening of Uncle Wilber’s Fountain in Acacia Park. Curious George and Clifford the Big Red Dog will also attend. The Manitou Art Theatre and the Colorado Springs Children’s Choral will provide additional entertainment, in addition to over 20 booth. And all FREE. (Acacia Park on the corner Platte & Nevada)

June 11th marks the opening day of the Colorado Renaissance Festival & Artisan Marketplace, on 650 W. Perry Park Ave in Larkspur. This is the 35th year offering artisans, shows, jousts, crafters, medieval parades, etc. If your planning on going – check your local stores and markets – to see if you can get reduced tickets. And keep in mind – Weekends Only!

And finally, June 11th and 12th, Heuberger Subaru will have it’s Starlight Spectacular. A 14 or 22 mile bike route through Garden of the Gods, downtown and Old Colorado City. It’ll start at 11:59 at the Garden of the Gods Visitor Center on 1805 N 30th Street, and Whole Foods will cater the post-ride breakfast.
